Ball Lumber of Millers Tavern, VA has started up their USNR Log Optimization system with 3D Smart TriCam lineal scanning. The system was installed on an existing USNR Sharp Chain.
Battle Lumber in Wadley, GA is upgrading their USNR Auto Stickering Stacker with a new carriage assembly along with new stacking forks. The order includes a direct fork lift upgrade to replace the complete fork lift assembly and all fork lift fingers with the new heavy duty design. The stick feeder will also receive updated components that incorporate facilitated bearing alignment in the feeder cams and a positive gripping stick lug design. Battle Lumber also runs USNR 3D LASAR scanning and optimization on their carriage system.
Cody Turkey Calls of Halifax, PA has placed an order for a USNR mini-kiln to dry lumber for their turkey calls. The mini-kiln is a track style kiln that holds one package, or about 1500 board feet of lumber.

C-Wood Lumber in Collinwood, TN recently placed an order for two direct fired USNR package kilns along with two new USNR burners. Each kiln will hold about 60,000 board feet of lumber. The mill dries mostly mixed hardwoods and some White Pine lumber and timbers.
Fox Lumber has purchased an Inovec-USNR YieldMaster G3 carriage optimizer system with StereoScan for the hardwood processing operation in Mill Creek, WV.
Georgia Pacific of Philomath, OR ordered a USNR MillExpert 4-head 3D LASAR scanning and log optimizer upgrade for their existing Maxi Mill overhead carriage. The new system will replace a light curtain system. The mill processes Douglas Fir into dimension lumber.
Hawkeye Forest Products in Trempealeau, WI placed an order for an Inovec-USNR YieldMaster G3 optimization system. The mill processes mixed hardwoods specializing in Walnut, Hickory and Cherry. Hawkeye Forest Products is a second generation family owned company that was founded in 1983.
Kiwi Lumber of Masterton, NZ recently purchased two USNR optimization systems from Skookum Forest Technology for their log and cant breakdown machine centers.
Manufacturier Warwick has ordered a USNR 58" wastewood chipper for the mill in Woburn, Quebec. Just last year, the company installed a new USNR four-knee carriage with four onboard log turners, complete with 3D LASAR scanning and optimization. The mill processes mostly Eastern White Pine.
Mary's River of Philomath, OR has installed a new USNR Edger Maximizer system including an infeed table, unscrambler, lug loader, and tipple. This is the first system to combine USNR's MillExpert edger optimizer system with DynaVision B800 scan sensors. The mill processes Western Red Cedar and manufactures a diverse line of products including
siding, decking, boards, and fencing.

Robbins Manufacturing of Tarrytown, FL has purchased a Smart TriCam upgrade for their existing gang. Aanalog TriCams with be replaced with eight new transverse Smart TriCam sensors. The order also inlcludes a new computer cabinet complete with primary and back-up optimizer computers. The mill is already running the latest USNR MillExpert software platform, which provides increased recovery and process control.
TBM Hardwoods in Hanover, PA has ordered four new USNR package kilns, for a combined total of 19 USNR-Irvington Moore kilns onsite. The existing Kiln Boss system will be expanded to include the newest kilns. The mill processes a variety of domestic and imported hardwoods.
Wallowa Forest Products of Wallowa, OR placed an order for an Inovec-USNR YieldMaster G3 system with StereoScan on an existing headrig carriage.
Weyerhaueser of Dallas, OR has utilized their Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) to upgrade to the latest MillExpert edger optimizer software. The mill also upgraded the system with faster computers that provive faster processing speeds, and more robust edger solutions with higher recovery.
Weyerhaeuser of Dallas, OR is replacing an Inovec YieldMaster light curtain system with a USNR 3D LASAR carriage scanning and optimization system. The order also includes a new ControlLogix PLC based setworks system provided by Concept Systems. The softwood mill produces dimension lumber and will use LASAR front and backside scanning to generate BOF and full log breakdown solutions to achieve higher yields.
