Curve Sawing Cant Optimizer
The cant optimizer will evaluate simplex ('C') curves as well as
complex ('S') curves. Curve sawing optimization uses advanced fit
logic to ensure the highest value sawing solution. Motion controllers
ensure accurate movement of sawbox components. The operator console,
infomaster display, and Windows based human machine interface (HMI)
provide operators with easy-to-use controls to run the system.
Optimizer software allows bow in lumber from curved cants to be
limited which prevents jam-ups in downstream equipment. Coe Newnes
McGehee supplies equipment specifically designed to efficiently
handle bowed lumber.
Linear Cant Optimizer
The Coe Newnes McGehee linear curve sawing cant optimizer systems offer
less complexity and high production speeds. These systems feature our
linear scanning technology which operate at high production feed speeds.
The standard Windows user interface displays real-time decisions and is
available in touch screen and mouse driven versions.
QuickScan™ Cant Optimizer
High-resolution linear sensors in up to three scan zones simultaneously
scan the cant as it is fed into the slew/skew gang. Cants can be fed to
the scanner centering table from one or both sides. A Windows™ user
interface allows easy product setup with 3-D graphics and a common look
and feel shared by other Coe Newnes McGehee Optimizers.
Transverse Cant Optimizer
Our transverse scanner features single point sensors mounted on a rigid
scanner frame. It measures True Differential Thickness Measurements (TDTM™)
up to 14". Plan view sensors detect length at ±½. The standard
Windows user interface displays real-time decisions and is available in
touch screen and mouse driven versions.
