Optimizer
Coe Newnes McGehee's primary breakdown optimizer is a key component
of our double length infeed and sharp chain systems. Four scan heads
using a dual laser plane configuration minimize blind spots resulting
from knots and chain flights. Log data is processed for optimum
recovery at the chipping heads and band or circular saws producing
cants and flitches that will give the highest volume or value at
downstream gangs and edgers.
The user interface displays 3-D solution graphics in real-time
showing curved cant and sideboard solutions. Report functions are
built in with complete log data and solution information. A production
simulator for testing different configurations on real log data
can be included.
