As a single source supplier we design optimization, controls and
machinery in-house ensuring sawmill systems fit seamlessly together
from front to back.
Double Length Infeed
Our Double Length Infeed (DLI) is available for small (up to 18") and large (up to 28") log applications. V-Flights transport the log through the auto-rotation scanner, then to the log turner for best presentation to the breakdown optimizer scanner. The DLI slews and skews to better position the log for optimum recovery from the chip heads and saws.
Sharp Chain System
CNM's Sharp Chain system incorporates many of the same features
as our Double Length Infeed system. Logs are manually positioned
and securely held by the sharp chain. The Sharp Chain system is
an ideal choice for retrofit applications, and where space limitation
is a factor.
Band Mill
CNM has High Strain Band Mills to meet any application for
Double Length Infeeds, Sharp Chain systems and Resaws. These band
mills offer high strain, yet the simple design assures minimum maintenance.
They are available to suit single, twin, quad and horizontal applications.
Our band mill is rated to 40,000# strain with a choice of fabricated or cast wheels. Strain, tilt and saw guard retract are hydraulically operated.
Integrated chipper heads ahead of the band mill follow the vertical log sweep for optimum surface finish and high quality chips.
The rotation compensation (patent pending) feature of our Band Mills enhances recovery in our Double Length Infeed system. This innovation allows the band mills and chipping heads to pivot around the axis of the log. The Double Length Infeed's Optimizer uses this extra latitude to search for the most valuable solution and rotates the cutting tools to accomplish this.
